Panasonic Avionics Corporation eX2 System Offerable at Boeing

Bothell, WA - Panasonic Avionics Corporation is pleased to announce that it has achieved Technical Offerability from Boeing on the eX2 system for Boeing 777 aircraft.  Production installation will be reviewed by Boeing on a case-by-case basis for aircraft deliveries beginning in September 2006.  eX2, part of Panasonic's X series, is the Next Generation in-flight entertainment system designed around a one Gigabit network and enterprise servers that will provide entertainment and communications capabilities on aircraft equivalent to that available in homes and offices today.  The system will offer significant weight and power improvements over today's generation of entertainment systems and will be installed on Boeing aircraft, both in retrofit and production, next year.
