| Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation Announces Executive-Level Promotions and Appointments |

Bothell, Washington, USA – Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation (MAS)
has announced promotions and appointments of six individuals to key positions on the MAS executive team. Effective July 1, 2000, the following organizational changes have been made:
• Paul Margis has been promoted from Vice President, Development Engineering to the new position of Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer.
• Hideo Nakano has been promoted from General Manager and CFO of Business Operations to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
•
Gerald Yap, General Manager for Marketing and Product Support - Asia has been named Vice President, Asia Region, based in Singapore.
•
Laurie da Silva, most recently Director, Program and Business Management, has been appointed as General Manager, Advanced Systems Engineering.
Two other key executive-level appointments were also made recently by Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation:
•
Lon Allman has been hired as General Manager, Regional Repair Shops. Lon had joined MAS in February as a productivity improvement consultant.
•
Greg Montevideo, most recently General Manager of Contracts for MAS, has been appointed to the new position of General Manager, Business Development.
According to MAS President Takashi Mizuma, "Appointment to these new positions recognizes not only the individual contributions of these six MAS members, but also the strategic organizational value of strengthening and regionalizing our executive management structure. These key appointments represent another important step in our ongoing initiative to provide the very best service to our valued customers." |
